Rebecca and Baby Geneveve's Shower

Last Saturday was my dear friend Rebecca's Baby Shower. It was so beautiful and we had so much fun. Rebecca is due exactly one week after me and I am so excited for her and Alex. Having all of these girlfriends due so close to me has made being pregnant so exciting and so much more fun!!! I dont know what I would have done without all of my fellow pregos!!! xoxox

Baby Geneveve is going to be one beautiful little girl....I just cant wait to meet her.

All of us girls got together and got Rebecca the cutest (not to mention....rare) L.A.M.B. Diaper bag that you have ever seen!!! Thanks to Tina, Pro-shopper and coordinator of the gift we made Rebecca scream with joy! :)

Baby Shower for Elle

My closest girlfriends threw Miss. Elle a baby shower this last Sunday. Kara, Ann Marie and Diana hosted a PERFECT baby shower brunch for us a El Torito Grill in Fashion Island. All of my closest girlfriends came to celebrate the soon to be arrival of Elle with champagne, a delicious brunch and yummy treats. Everyone of course out did themselves and "showered" Elle with the cutest gifts ever!!! She really is going to be set from head to toe.

Elle's Family Baby Shower

My Mom threw a beautiful shower for Baby Elle at my mom and dads house this last Sunday. It turned out so nice. She did such a good job making it so special and pretty. From her home made Manicotti and appetizers, to the giant chocolate cake and the individually wrapped baby block cookies...she really out did herself! Every detail was perfect! I am sooo lucky to have such an amazing Mom and a wonderful family. Thank you for making the day so fabulous! MUAH!

Kara's Family Shower

This last Saturday was Kara's Family shower. Her beautiful, also pregnant sister in law Megan, and Mama Jan(Kara's Mother-in-law) hosted it for her at Mama Jans house in Huntington. It turned out soooo cute and Kara received so many great gifts. Her little one is definitely going to be decked out.

Kara has one more shower to go....and its a BIGGIE...."The Friend Shower" which is going to be soo much fun. Me, Erin, Stacy and Jenn are hosting it and are having so much fun with all of the details! :) We cant wait to celebrate and help Kara prepare for the arrival of her little girl!

I just cant believe that all of these baby showers that once seemed so far away are now here! Which also means all of these little girls will soon be here too!!!!! I just cant wait to meet all of these little beauties....

30 Weeks

30 weeks...I cant believe it! Although I have said that I feel like I have been pregnant for an eternity...Looking back it does not seem right that I am already approaching 8 months! Before I know it we will be celebrating the Holidays and welcoming our little girl into the world. Which is unbelievable, exciting and scary all at the same time. I don't think it has all really set in. I went to a girlfriends shower this last weekend who is a about a month ahead of me and who is also having a girl. Watching her open her gifts and listening to everyone talk about the arrival of her new little one really hit home. I found myself for the first time feeling nervous. Not really nervous about the labor itself...but about everything that follows. It is crazy to think that this sweet little baby will be ours. She will depend on us and look to us for EVERYTHING!!! We will be the two most influential people in her life and part of who she becomes as a person will be a direct result of us as parents!!!! And that is pretty HEAVY!!!!!!! I know we can do it.....but I think I just figured out that this great adventure into parenthood hasn't even slightly begun!

All I can do is hope and prey that Sean and I are half as good at being parents as my parents have been to me and we will be just fine!!! ....GULP! :)

7 Months

I will be 29 weeks on Sunday. I cant believe I have one more week and I will be 30 weeks along. For some reason it seems like the countdown really begins once you hit week 30. We will have Miss. Elle in out arms in 10 weeks or less!!! I am pulling for the "or less" part of that sentence...but we will see. As long as out little peanut is healthy!

I have now completed all of my tests and everything is exactly were it should be. My blood glucose tests came back and were perfect. The only thing that they did say is that I am slightly anemic, so I have to take more Iron supplements. But other than that everything couldn't be better.

As far as how I feel.....I am doing good...just feeling VERY pregnant. Looking at pictures of myself I cant help but laugh. It appears as though my backside is trying to keep up with the front!!! Maybe that is just my body's way of trying to keep balance :) hahah...

Everyone......meet Elle Ryan

Sean and I decided to get the 4D Ultrasound this week. Seeing her little face for the first time was unreal and made us realize what all of this is really about. She is more amazing and beautiful than we ever could have imagined.

We have known what her name would be since I have been about 3 months but thought we would wait a while until we announced it to everyone, however we have told most of our family and our close friends.....but after seeing her little face it just seems like everyone should know her by name......

So.......we would like you to meet our little "Sweet Pea"......Elle Ryan .

27 Weeks

Wow....already 27 weeks. Everything has been going great. I had a Dr. appt this week and they said all of my numbers are exactly where they should be which made me feel good. I have been very lucky and blessed with an easy pregnancy so far.... and with only 13 weeks to go I couldnt be happier. Sean and I are both so excited to meet our little girl. As her arrival gets closer we try to imagine what it will be like to have her in our arms......... it is such an unexplainable feeling. We cant wait! :)

We Moved!!!

We moved!!! Over Labor day weekend Sean and I moved out of the towers and into a home! :) We made the move for several reasons but mainly the baby. Living in the towers was fun but the atmosphere wasn't exactly homey....it was more like living in a hotel in Vegas. Which don't get me wrong...I still plan on having fun post baby but we just wanted a place to come home to that felt more like a home. Plus the thought of lugging the baby/stroller/groceries up and down in an elevator all of the time started to sound exhausting. (If only 24hour room service were an option maybe we would have stayed! j/k....kind of.) ;)

Anyway we found a place in Huntington Beach, just minutes from the beach (perfect for my morning walks and Seans surfing) in a cute little gated community. We have been there 3 nights now and really like it. I love the location and once I get some paint on the walls it will really start to feel like home(every square inch of wall space is white! yikes!)

As far as the baby's room goes we have the crib but the rest of the fun is still to come. I have gone back and fourth with colors and styles and have not yet decided on the exact motif. Decisions, decisions :)

Day at the Races

For Sean's Bday we spent the day in Del Mar at the Racetrack. We had a great time...we won a few races.....and of course lost a few but it was just nice to get out of the office for the day and enjoy the perfect Del Mar weather.



Sean bought me a fabulous hat to wear.....the races just arent the same without a great hat! :)




Although we were out of the office doesn’t necessarily mean that Sean refrained from working! The waitress even made a comment about him working too hard!:)......standard Sean photo....on his Blackberry.

28th Birthday Dinner

For my 28th Birthday Sean surprised me with a special dinner at Flemings. I had thought it would be just the two of us having a nice, quite dinner together, being it was a Thursday night, I am pregnant and I have just not been into the birthday thing this year (I am getting old!). When we showed up the hostess escorted us down stairs to the "Wine Cellar." Knowing that the "Wine Cellar" is for private parties I looked at Sean confused...and said, "Why is she taking us down here?" When I walked in I was surprised by all of my dearest friends! It was a very special Birthday! We had a great dinner and most importantly... we were surrounded by great company! I love my friends! They are the best...and I love my Hubby! He really made my BDay special! I had no idea......

Kara is due exactly one month (to the day) after me and we are both having little girls. I am so lucky to have one of my bestest friends in the whole world to share in this experience! I dont know what I would do without her...she keeps me laughing, always puts a smile on my face and has been there with me through so many stages of my life! It is so neat that we get to go down this new path to mommyhood together!!!

I think she is the cutest prego I have ever seen...(damn her and her prefect legs with no cellulite!haha)Love you Kara!

Girls Spa Day

My Mom, Sisters, Ash and I spent a day at Glen Ivy this week for a little R&R. It was so nice to spend the day with my ladies! :) and even though most of my bathing suits dont fit anymore, I didnt mind....I am starting to be more comfortable with my growing bod. We had a great day and cant wait to go back......

21 Weeks

It feels like my belly is getting bigger daily....it is amazing! I finally brought myself to buy a couple maternity items...including a pair of jeans, they crack me up! The elastic band around the waist can seriously stretch out about another 6 inches....and I have been told that all of that "extra space" will probably be filled over the next few months! I just cant imagine growing that large .....the next few months should be interesting.

He made me show him just how sexy the maternity jeans are and had to take a pic of how big my tummy (and other things) have become over the last few days!
