30 Weeks

30 weeks...I cant believe it! Although I have said that I feel like I have been pregnant for an eternity...Looking back it does not seem right that I am already approaching 8 months! Before I know it we will be celebrating the Holidays and welcoming our little girl into the world. Which is unbelievable, exciting and scary all at the same time. I don't think it has all really set in. I went to a girlfriends shower this last weekend who is a about a month ahead of me and who is also having a girl. Watching her open her gifts and listening to everyone talk about the arrival of her new little one really hit home. I found myself for the first time feeling nervous. Not really nervous about the labor itself...but about everything that follows. It is crazy to think that this sweet little baby will be ours. She will depend on us and look to us for EVERYTHING!!! We will be the two most influential people in her life and part of who she becomes as a person will be a direct result of us as parents!!!! And that is pretty HEAVY!!!!!!! I know we can do it.....but I think I just figured out that this great adventure into parenthood hasn't even slightly begun!

All I can do is hope and prey that Sean and I are half as good at being parents as my parents have been to me and we will be just fine!!! ....GULP! :)

7 Months

I will be 29 weeks on Sunday. I cant believe I have one more week and I will be 30 weeks along. For some reason it seems like the countdown really begins once you hit week 30. We will have Miss. Elle in out arms in 10 weeks or less!!! I am pulling for the "or less" part of that sentence...but we will see. As long as out little peanut is healthy!

I have now completed all of my tests and everything is exactly were it should be. My blood glucose tests came back and were perfect. The only thing that they did say is that I am slightly anemic, so I have to take more Iron supplements. But other than that everything couldn't be better.

As far as how I feel.....I am doing good...just feeling VERY pregnant. Looking at pictures of myself I cant help but laugh. It appears as though my backside is trying to keep up with the front!!! Maybe that is just my body's way of trying to keep balance :) hahah...

Everyone......meet Elle Ryan

Sean and I decided to get the 4D Ultrasound this week. Seeing her little face for the first time was unreal and made us realize what all of this is really about. She is more amazing and beautiful than we ever could have imagined.

We have known what her name would be since I have been about 3 months but thought we would wait a while until we announced it to everyone, however we have told most of our family and our close friends.....but after seeing her little face it just seems like everyone should know her by name......

So.......we would like you to meet our little "Sweet Pea"......Elle Ryan .

27 Weeks

Wow....already 27 weeks. Everything has been going great. I had a Dr. appt this week and they said all of my numbers are exactly where they should be which made me feel good. I have been very lucky and blessed with an easy pregnancy so far.... and with only 13 weeks to go I couldnt be happier. Sean and I are both so excited to meet our little girl. As her arrival gets closer we try to imagine what it will be like to have her in our arms......... it is such an unexplainable feeling. We cant wait! :)

We Moved!!!

We moved!!! Over Labor day weekend Sean and I moved out of the towers and into a home! :) We made the move for several reasons but mainly the baby. Living in the towers was fun but the atmosphere wasn't exactly homey....it was more like living in a hotel in Vegas. Which don't get me wrong...I still plan on having fun post baby but we just wanted a place to come home to that felt more like a home. Plus the thought of lugging the baby/stroller/groceries up and down in an elevator all of the time started to sound exhausting. (If only 24hour room service were an option maybe we would have stayed! j/k....kind of.) ;)

Anyway we found a place in Huntington Beach, just minutes from the beach (perfect for my morning walks and Seans surfing) in a cute little gated community. We have been there 3 nights now and really like it. I love the location and once I get some paint on the walls it will really start to feel like home(every square inch of wall space is white! yikes!)

As far as the baby's room goes we have the crib but the rest of the fun is still to come. I have gone back and fourth with colors and styles and have not yet decided on the exact motif. Decisions, decisions :)

Day at the Races

For Sean's Bday we spent the day in Del Mar at the Racetrack. We had a great time...we won a few races.....and of course lost a few but it was just nice to get out of the office for the day and enjoy the perfect Del Mar weather.



Sean bought me a fabulous hat to wear.....the races just arent the same without a great hat! :)




Although we were out of the office doesn’t necessarily mean that Sean refrained from working! The waitress even made a comment about him working too hard!:)......standard Sean photo....on his Blackberry.

28th Birthday Dinner

For my 28th Birthday Sean surprised me with a special dinner at Flemings. I had thought it would be just the two of us having a nice, quite dinner together, being it was a Thursday night, I am pregnant and I have just not been into the birthday thing this year (I am getting old!). When we showed up the hostess escorted us down stairs to the "Wine Cellar." Knowing that the "Wine Cellar" is for private parties I looked at Sean confused...and said, "Why is she taking us down here?" When I walked in I was surprised by all of my dearest friends! It was a very special Birthday! We had a great dinner and most importantly... we were surrounded by great company! I love my friends! They are the best...and I love my Hubby! He really made my BDay special! I had no idea......

Kara is due exactly one month (to the day) after me and we are both having little girls. I am so lucky to have one of my bestest friends in the whole world to share in this experience! I dont know what I would do without her...she keeps me laughing, always puts a smile on my face and has been there with me through so many stages of my life! It is so neat that we get to go down this new path to mommyhood together!!!

I think she is the cutest prego I have ever seen...(damn her and her prefect legs with no cellulite!haha)Love you Kara!

Girls Spa Day

My Mom, Sisters, Ash and I spent a day at Glen Ivy this week for a little R&R. It was so nice to spend the day with my ladies! :) and even though most of my bathing suits dont fit anymore, I didnt mind....I am starting to be more comfortable with my growing bod. We had a great day and cant wait to go back......

21 Weeks

It feels like my belly is getting bigger daily....it is amazing! I finally brought myself to buy a couple maternity items...including a pair of jeans, they crack me up! The elastic band around the waist can seriously stretch out about another 6 inches....and I have been told that all of that "extra space" will probably be filled over the next few months! I just cant imagine growing that large .....the next few months should be interesting.

Sean loves to take pictures of me when I am looking my best! He made me show him just how sexy the maternity jeans are and had to take a pic of how big my tummy (and other things) have become over the last few days! So here I am...no make up....jungle woman hair-do and in desperate need of a tan!!!! I call this pic "La Ancha." :) haha

20 Weeks this Sunday!!

I cant believe I am already at 20 weeks...and in 4 months our little princess will be here! I still haven't felt any movement! The doctor keeps telling me I should feel her any day now. I can say, even though I haven't felt her yet, I know she is growing ..... Check out the belly...2 weeks ago I just looked fat, now I feel like I actually look pregnant.



For the first time, someone who didnt know me asked me how far along I was..... :)




I think I am finally starting to get use to being pregnant. It was tough at first, gaining weight but not looking pregnant...its just kind of depressing. Now I look down at my belly and get excited...I cant wait till she is here. I am definitely starting to feel better about myself but more importantly I am realizing how amazing all of this really is. I am so thankful that the baby and I are both healthy and that my pregnancy has been so easy.

4 1/2 Months

My doctor says I should start feeling her move soon...I haven't felt anything yet but I am definitely starting to look pregnant.

My wardrobe is starting to suffer....As I am very limited to the clothes that still fit and I just cant bring myself to buy anything "Maternity"...it just sounds so bland. :)

Sean and I live in front of a nature reserve where I have been walking every day...sometimes twice a day. It really helps although I really miss running and working out like a normal person...oh well...once our little sweet pea arrives its back the gym for me! Cant wait till shes here!!!!

The Belly.....16 Weeks

I have been putting off putting up belly pics for a while cause as far as my belly goes there just wasnt much going on. I definitely have had more of a CHUBBY look than a PREGO look the past several weeks......I have gained lbs all over rather than just my tummy.....lucky me! Anyway everyone keeps telling me to put some pics up and I do feel that I have more of a bump recently......so here they are.

4th of July.....

For the 4th of July, Sean and I met up at Ashley's parents house for a BBQ and then a group of us did the beach cruise to Newport. It was quite an experience. Looking back I have remembered 4th of July in Newport a little differently.....Im not sure if we are just getting old and our mentalities have changed or if in the years past I was just a wee bit tipsy and all the FREAKS didnt bother me!!!!.....I think maybe its a little bit of both. :) All I know is that this will be my last year with the "Crazies." Watching from a sober perspective and thinking of my little girl, I just cant imagine ever going again. I prefer to spend my 4th with friends and family rather than beer bongs and 17 year old strippers in training!

Baby's First Concert

Having a little girl, obviously means that a Gwen Stefani concert is in order!! :) Brianna and I went to see Gwen last Friday. It was quite the experience...being that we were the only sober humans within 5 miles of the the place......but regardless, Gwen was wonderful.

I just kept thinking about the fact that she had a baby not that long ago and she looks better than ever! So ....thats my plan too....to look better than ever after "Sweet Pea" is born. Yeah, thats the plan!!

13 Weeks

Sean and I went to the doctor today for an ultrasound. My doctor had told me that if we were lucky we might be able to find out if we were having a little boy or a little girl.....turns out we were not so lucky....they had scheduled me on a day that the ultrasound tech was out!!!! You could say we were a little bummed...but Sean being the resourceful guy that he is, was on the phone in a matter of seconds making an appointment at a company in Costa Mesa that performs early ultrasounds. We were in the car 10 min later on our way to our second appointment of the day.



As I checked in, Sean spoke with the tech and tried to slip her a tip to guarantee she would give us an answer today..... HAHAHA! He just couldnt go on one more week not knowing. The tech declined the tip...but was able to confirm....It's a GIRL!!!!! It was amazing to watch our little sweet pea kick and stretch and even suck her thumb! It made it all very real...so now we just cant wait until she arrives!!! We already think she is the CUTEST baby ever!...(look....she has my nose!)haha

p.s. Noel I owe you $50 bucks!

Finding out "Sweet Pea" is on the way......

It was a beautiful, sunny, Sunday so we decided to go down to Laguna and have champagne brunch at one of our favorite spots...The Montage. During our drive down the coast Sean and I were talking about how tired I had been and how I just didn't feel quite like myself, so on our way we came to the conclusion that it might be a good idea to take a pregnancy test...just to make sure. So we picked up a test and went on our way to brunch....thats right, I found out I was pregnant in the bathroom at the Montage...for those of you who have never been....the Montage is very nice, so don't picture some gross bathroom...their bathrooms are actually very pleasant....(haha...did I really just call a bathroom pleasant???).

Not expecting that the test would say positive...I sat in the bathroom waiting for a result as I text messaged some friends that we were supposed to meet up with! To my surprise the test said "Pregnant," not two lines, not a plus or minus sign but the actual word...."Pregnant!".....to be honest...I about fell off of the toilet! Once I gained composure, the test and I made our way out to Sean who was seated out by the pool restaurant....I didn't say a word, just showed him the test...I think that said it all!

We are both very excited and cant wait for "Sweet Pea" to arrive. I will be 3 months next week, it has gone by fast but I cant believe I have 6 more months to go!!!! Whoever said that they "Loved" being pregnant is CRAZY!!!! You dont feel like yourself, you look larger than normal and all of your clothes that use to make you feel cute, now make you look fat and frumpy. Not to mention ALL of the restrictions...no champagne, no wine, no sushi....and the list goes on.....its definitely not the most fun I have ever had...but maybe my next trimester will be more exciting! :) Like I said we just cant wait for out little one to arrive....we know that the final result will be the best gift ever!!

Sean and I were married in Las Vegas, March 18, 2007, in our true untraditional style we found ourselves standing in the Little White Wedding Chapel (yes, the one that Britney Spears got married in) holding each others hands, dressed in our bathing suits and sunglasses....saying "I do!"

Just one short month later we found out that we would be expecting a little "Sweet Pea" due December 24, 2007, a Christmas baby! I made this site so that we can keep all of our family and friends updated not only with the pregnancy but with the two of us.....as you never know what surprises we may have for you next! :).....(Just kidding Mom and Dad! no more surprises!)
