Halloween 2009

Halloween this year was GREAT. Elle really loved it. Last year she was oblivious to what was going on but this year was different. She had such a good time. Our neighborhood really goes all out. There are haunted houses, stobe lights, smoke machines and giant jack-o-lanterns floating in the sky. One house gives each kid a huge mylar jack-o-lantern balloon with a flashing light inside, so all of the kids rome the streets with blinking pumpkin balloons..its pretty cool. The parents are hilarious as well...they all dress up and every wagon or golf cart is equipped with an ice chest of some sort, it is hard to tell who is having more fun..the kids or the adults. We had such a good time just watching our Little Bumble Bee's face and listening to her little voice say, "Trick or Treat." She makes our holidays sooo much more fun than they use to be!!!

Family Funday

We love Sunday Brunch with the family....

The Pumpkin Patch

This year we went to the pumpkin patch at Tanaka Farms with some of our friends. Elle had so much fun climbing all over the pumpkins and visiting the animals in the petting zoo. I told Elle to pick out her pumpkin and she grabbed the smallest two pumpkins in the patch, one for each hand and those were the ones that she wanted. Good thing that a pumpkin freakishly grew in our backyard this year (not kidding, the perfect pumpkin grew out of nowhere...and just one) So the pumpin that we somehow grew...is the one that we carved in the pics below.

FACE

I cant get enough....

...need I say more?

LOLO's BDay Luau

We hosted a Luau this September to celebrate Lauren's Birthday. It was a ton of fun and went on till the wee wee hours of the morning and ended with a firework show (which I am sure the neighbors loved) LOL. Happy Bday LOLO...WE LOVE YOU SOOO MUCH!

Big Bear Weekend

This September we took a little weekend trip to Big Bear with the fam. It was just fun to get away for the weekend...even though there wasn't snow. One of the days we took the lift to the top of Bear Mountain and had lunch...such a pretty view of the mountains and lake, its so great that we can live at the beach and be in the mountains with in a couple of hours. It was a great weekend relaxing with the family and seeing the sights!

Big Girl Bed

Elle has graduated to a toddler bed. After crawling out of her crib a couple of times we decided that it was time to take the bars away. I was a little apprehensive about doing this so soon and not to sure how this transition would go but I am proud to say it was a piece of cake! Elle really picks things up super quick. The first night she went right to sleep, no getting up out of her bed at all. Nap time took a couple of days for her to get use to but literally after one week she was good. She knows that when it is bed time or nap time, that she has to stay in her bed and sleep. The greatest part is that when she wakes up from her naps or in the morning she knocks on her door from inside her room...like she is saying "Can I come out now?" its so cute. She is such a good girl. We are sooo lucky! :)

A Month of Birthdays

August is a busy month for us. Both Sean and I have our Bdays. This year our friends and family surprised me with a party. It was the BIG 3-0...and they went all out. Delicious food, great company, DJ, Dancing, fine wine...lol...it was so much fun! I felt sooo special!! Then for Sean's Bday we went to Florida for the weekend and had a great time with friends. As if that wasnt enough, one of my best friends Brianna (Aunt B to Elle) has her bday a few days after mine and oh'boy did we celebrate that one! Needless to say we were partied out once August was over...but we love love love all of our friends and family who made our BDays soooo special! :)
